My house has not transformed much this spring. I am not feeling the usual seasonal update. Right now, I am all about my own style and what feels good to me. I am in to woods and whites and a cozy cottage feel. I think sometimes I get so caught up in keeping up with the trends that I end up losing my own flare. I am trying to make it my goal to stop that. That is why, right now, you are not seeing me do some dramatic spring overhaul. I like these tones. It feels warm and cozy to me, and makes me so happy to be at home. What are your plans for your home this spring? Are you keeping it simple or going for a trend?
I traded out my shutters for THESE cotton beauties. I think they really compliment the space well. I like the balance it brings to this side of the room. A quick little side note about these paintings. I originally painted two cotton paintings for my kitchen on two small canvases. But when I hung them up in the kitchen, Jereme got sad that I had taken down the piece of art that was there. So, I decided to move them to our bathroom. Then I decided that two just wasn't enough so I painted a third. When I showed them to my mother-in-love Hope, she wanted a set for her home. Only she wanted them on a wood sign. Thus the cotton paintings were made in their current refined form.
They have been a best seller and I must say that I am so proud of them. They are simple yet they make a huge statement. They just make me happy. They are available in my Etsy shop.

Now you get to see one of the things I try to hide in most of my pictures: this lighting fixture. It looks like a fortune tellers crystal ball floating under a dinky spray painted fan. Let me be real. Most of the lighting fixtures in my home are terrible, but as a renter, there is nothing to be done. I just live with it. But now you know. Ha.
Thank you so much for stopping by. I hope you leave inspired. Have an amazing Wednesday.
XOXO, Sarah
