Hello Lovelies, I hope you are having a great week so far. I am sharing with you the look I wore to my little sisters sixth grade graduation. I can not believe she is about to start High School. She was so beautiful and grown up, and I am proud to announce that she was indeed an honor graduate. Way to go Mariah! Love you sissy! I can not wait to see the woman you grow to be and where high school leads you. I wish we could have gotten a few better pics.
I was very nervous to go back to my tiny hometown, nervous to go back to the same elementary school that I graduated sixth grade from. I was nervous to see if I would run into all of those same people that were so mean to me in high school and made me hate my senior year. I was nervous to see if all of those same mean girls still held so many prejudices towards me as they use to when I left the town. But much to my surprise, It was actually quite the opposite for the most part. It was surprisingly so great to see how so many familiar faces and attitudes had changed. It felt almost refreshing to step out of the city hustle into slowed down small town life. There really is a huge difference. The people are (contrary to popular Des Arc belief) so much friendlier. Status (also contrary to popular DA belief) is not such a priority there like it is in larger towns . I was proud that the school still said The Pledge and a benediction. That is actually not a common thing anymore, but it is so great that they do. I am proud to have graduated from that elementary school.
Moving on, apparently I am loving neon oranges and reds right now. I think I love it with my "tan". I currently use Loving Tan, and in case you missed my review on that, you can see it here. I actually doubled up in these pics. Normally I only use it every one and a half week, but I used it twice in one week and it got DARK. Let's just say that I looked like I had been at the beach for a month. I am okay with that. To keep the tan from looking bad around day six and seven; I use a tanning lotion with moisturizer like Fakebake or Gergens.. It prolongs the tan a few more days, and keeps my skin from looking dry. Fake tanning can tend to do that to you. My favorite thing about this tanning product is that it does NOT make you look orange. It has a nice brown natural looking color. Even on the normal problem areas, (knees, elbows, and feet) it doesn't look orange.
I love tunic dresses. They are a perfect transition piece for the many weddings at this time of year, and depending on the theme you could dress it up or down. They're just so versatile.
