All of their watches are HAND crafted out of wood. The quality is amazing and the presentation is very impressive. I fell for a more simplistic design (The Fieldcrest Koa and Burl) they have some very intricate Men's and Women's timepieces. Be sure to check those out.
I can't really narrow my style down to one label but I do know one thing for sure. I love earthy palettes and textures; and if it can be handmade, I love it even more. If you hadn't already noticed in my previous posts, I also love to style natural elements (in home decor and fashion). So, as you can imagine, I jumped at the opportunity to collab with JORD. I mean, were these watches made for me or what? Plus I severely needed a watch. We all know that I was not blessed with being a time conscientious person. I need all the help I can get.
That has me thinking... Wow. I just realized. I am such a servant to time. I think we all are. It pretty much rules our lives. You know, we are not fair to time either. We are never content with it. We always wish it would speed up and slow down or that we could go back in it. We are never grateful for it and we rarely ever just enjoy it. It is a real problem in the world today. Everyone (myself included) is so busy. Always rushing to fit it all in. Always racing to beat the clock. Always chasing after the next big thing that we forget to slow down to enjoy the now. Let's face it, time is not on our side.
But, there is a part of a scripture that brings me so much comfort when I get caught up in the busy and the search for my calling. Esther 4:14. It is where we got the saying "for such a time as this". Perhaps, we are overlooking our purpose because of this obsession with obtaining more and the always shortage of time. We forget that the little things can be some of the most impactful and important.
I have noticed that I don't always put forth our best efforts because of time. But, I think we should do the opposite. We should strive to do everything to the best of our abilities, as we would for God, and treat everyone kindly. You never know what type of impact you are making on someone.
Perhaps this is the moment for which you were created. Perhaps the time you spend with your child will show them you care. Perhaps the time at your job will open a door for your future. Perhaps the time that you spend on laundry will show your spouse that you love making them happy. Perhaps the time you spend listening to a friend is just what they need. Perhaps you were created for such a TIME as this. We don't know the whole scope of our lives or how much time we have. All we know is that it is limited. So we must enjoy the TIME we have. I just want to be content with my time. I have got to get better at that. How about you?
Christmas will be here before you know it. Who could you go ahead and cross off your list?
