Hello loves,
I am over joyed at todays' post: Cinderella Inspired. If you know me, then you will know that Cinderella is my favorite Disney princess and story. As cliche as this sounds, I feel that I identify with her the most out of all the princesses. (Aww. How childish! I know.) But with the release of the new Cinderella movie how could I not do an inspired look. On Saturday Jereme and I even watched Ever After starring Drew Barrymore, to get into the spirit. Ugh you can not get a better combo than the Cinderella story and Drew. Just saying.
I saw this dress at Altar'd State and instantly fell in love. Can we take a moment and admire its splendor. Ahh. Oh and the best part is that some of the proceeds from purchasing go to charity. I am wearing the same shoes that I wore in the last post, and if you have not already, check out my story behind those shoes. Also, just in case you find yourself bored, here is a little quiz to see how well you know the Walt Disney version of Cinderella. Let me just say, WOW, I thought I knew it a lot better than I really did. It was actually hard. Try it yourself, you have been warned.
The movie was adorable. There were a few parts that I felt the movie could have done without, but all-in-all it was great. For example (spoiler alert), I don't think it needed the "mother scene" at the beginning, or the three deaths. I also did not like the re-creation of the fairy god-mother. Every scene looked beautiful, even the dark ones. The movie even demonstrated some very good life lessons. I felt that it was still enough of the original Cinderella that we all love, but yet they still managed to re-imagine it differently than ever before.
“A dream is a wish your heart makes when you’re fast asleep. In dreams you will lose your heartaches. Whatever you wish for, you keep. Have faith in your dreams, and someday, your rainbow will come smiling through. No matter how your heart is grieving, if you keep on believing, the dream that you wish will come true.”
