Hello lovelies. It is time to get back in the groove of things after that nice extra long snowed in weekend. Today I have a Fashion and Faith post for you. I think that my blog is evolving into that. I have this snowy outfit look to share with you and a how I used a bad situation to come up with something brilliant. I hope you enjoy, but that is okay if you do not. If you are new to my blog, I placed a line break where I will start my faith talk. If you are against reading my view, just stop there. Sending you much love whether you decide to read or not.
Thankfully, I am finally getting around to posting this dress. I got it to wear on Christmas last minute. I saw it online and knew that I had to have it. I actually took pictures in this dress worn a completely different way last week but got I inspired by the snow so I retook them. I might still post it so that you can see the whole dress, because it is adorable. It has a low V back with a strap at the neck and short sleeves.
This has to be one of the most amusing dresses I have ever worn. It is so amusing that in the short amount of time that I have had it, I have already worn it three times. The sequins are reversible and I just cannot quite playing with it. They turn from silver to black. The problem I faced when taking the pics was that I kept rubbing the sequins up and down, so there was not a single shot where all of the sequins were turned the right way. Oh well, such is life. I paired neutral accessories with it and I am very pleased with the outcome.
The dress is from Forever 21 and was only thirty nine dollars. The quality is not bad either. I know some people harp on F21 because "quality over quantity" but honestly I have had mostly successful purchases from them. At the same time though, I am a very picky buyer, and I tend to side with very versatile hard to mess up pieces. I have linked every thing you would need to recreate this look below if you are interested.

I do have a tiny rant story though about my experience buying this dress and what it makes me think now. I picked this dress out online, but decided to go try it on in store first. I was afraid that the store would not have it, but thankfully after two whole hours of searching, I finally found it. I know that I said that i have had mostly successful purchases from them and that is true. The problem I faced with F21 was not their clothes. Their store is the biggest issue. Granted, it was close to Christmas and it was the weekend when I went there. If you have ever worked in retail, then you know what I mean by that. There is absolutely no excuse for the service that I received there. I hope that not every single F21 is that way, but the one here in Little Rock was absolutely horrible. I would also like to be able to say that it was just this once, but that would be a lie. Every time I go there, I get overwhelmed and disappointed by the mess and lack of customer service.
They had six or seven left of this particular dress, but I kid you not, I found one in every single section of the store. I looked for twenty minutes to find a floor associate that could help me and I was extremely disappointed with the only one I did find. I bumped into a girl who was leaning on one of the tables talking to another girl. I said excuse me and sorry and then she said "hey there's a discount on all these here." Had she not have said that, I would have paid money that she did not work there. I told her what I was looking for and she took me to where the dress "should have been". There was only one that was way too big and she said "Oh I'm sorry" and walked off. If I were not dead set on the dress, I would have left.
Before I go on, let me say this. Yes, I worked for Buckle. Yes I know Buckle employees stalk and attack their customers as soon as they walk in the door. I was trained to make every customer feel like they are receiving a personal shopper type experience, but I do not expect that from other stores. I do not expect to be treated like a queen in a retail store. I do however expect to be helped when I ask for it. The employees at this F21 store were just downright rude.
I counted twenty racks of dressing room put backs. Every single display was just piles of clothes with no remote similarity. Every single associate was talking and none of them were working. I even said to one girl, "it looks like you have a long night of folding ahead of you.", and her reply was "no, i get paid regardless and I'm outta here in an hour." To top it off, Jereme was waiting near the dressing rooms to see the dress once I tried it on; and a girl walked out of the dressing room wearing a lingerie-type dress. It was dress that you could totally see her entire... (cough) um crotch for lack of better terms. She knew he was there and she still just twirled and showed off her goods. His face got so red and he just looked at the floor. Also, when we were checking out, the two girls at the counter were trash talking their manager whom was just very sweet to me right in front of me. Ugh, people these days.
Situations like this happen at most of the stores I go to now and much worse. I mean seriously, what on Earth is happening to people? The other day I saw something online claiming that the media shoves government agendas in our faces and the fact that people are just too self absorbed and brainwashed to notice. It was some conspiracy theory article that highlighted the goal of politics is to make people so dependent on the government that no one notices that they are literally being brainwashed down to what you eat. It all showed every agenda that directly contradicts every principle that this country was founded on. Also they want to get rid of God. Although some of the things in the article were outlandish, it did get me thinking... about everything.
I started searching for answers to a whole list of evolving questions. Why do very few people value employment anymore? Why do most people not value their own work ethic? Why is it such a big deal for woman to be more powerful then men now? Why are the Kardashian's even cool? Why is the media shoving gender neutrality on us? Why can we not be different but equal? Why does no one care about anything but themselves anymore? Why does my generation not care about the future of this country? Why do so many people care about Donald Trumps hair and not care that Hilary is fighting to continue killing babies and lying? Why does no one care that our country pushed extremely useless and harmful HPV vaccines on women? Why does no one care about what was in the movie Dallas Buyers Club? Why do...The list just kept growing.
Before I knew it, I had the weight of the worlds problems on my shoulders and I was super upset about everything. The biggest question that kept baiting me was this. Why does NO ONE CARE that we are living out end time biblical prophecy, that and the movie Idiocracy (minus all of the trash in the streets)? I fell into a good solid hour of questioning life with Jereme. I just felt like my whole existence is worthless because I am not doing anything to help change all of these problems. I remembered hearing this line from the movie Tomorrowland that really struck home with me. "I get that things are bad. But what are we doing to fix it?" And that is exactly the way I felt. What can I do to fix it?
I tried and tried to come up with an answer, and I think I finally did. I think the answer is actually quite simple. People just do not know the truth. I think the best way to bring about change is to educate people on why they need it and to be nice while you are doing it. The underlying issue is that God is being weeded out of our world. We are being programmed to believe that there is not such thing as God and to over look the signs that he is real. No one knows that we are living out what the bible says will happen because very few are even reading the Bible.
Why would you? Media has made God unattractive. The media says it is more important to know about the book 50 Shades of Grey than it is to know that the Bible can prove itself if you will let it. People are more concerned with the fact that the Simpsons "predicted" 911, Ebola, and Donald Trump because that is what the media chooses to show you. Most people do not know that the someone wrote down what is happening right now every day in a book long ago. The prophecies of the bible far outweigh the so called "predictions" of the Simpsons. If that does not raise your suspicion and curiosity, then you were not paying attention.
Whether you are religious or not, I think it is clear to see that our country is in big trouble and the next ten to twenty years of our lives are very uncertain. I (and many like me) feel something bad is about to happen if we do not return to the Lord. Will it be freedom? Will it be a revolution? Will it be extreme poverty and wars? Well, we are certainly knocking on all of those doors it is just a matter of which one answers. If the things that the liberal media is pushing on us were really going to solve problems, problems would be disappearing rather than multiplying. Every one would not be as offended as they are by literally everything. There would not be mass rioting all over our country all the time. There would not be a rising number of division and hate crimes and crimes against cops. If the liberal way of thinking worked, they would not keep having to twisting, hiding, and lying about scripture to make you think it was okay. If it were right, everyone would not still be looking for answers. It is like Obamacare. If it is really what the people needed, there would not have to be a law in place to make people have it.
Unfortunately, I do not have all of the answers, and as Jereme said to me, "you can not single-handedly fix the whole world". He is right, because if I could, then there would be no need for a savior. I will however not sit back and do nothing. In the mean time, I will continue to try to spread the truth about God and how He alone can save us. I want to make it harder for people to deny Him. After all, the Lord reveals himself to every person, it is just a matter of who decides to follow Him that makes all of the difference. Jereme told me a great response that he told someone (a non-believer) once and I think it is totally brilliant. "If I am wrong, I will die and be buried and be none the wiser. If you are wrong, you will die and have to answer and suffer the consequence. My odds are one hundred percent. Your odds are fifty fifty. Which odds sound better to you?"
I have a call to action for you today. I challenge you to read the Book of Revelation. I challenge you to try to disprove that we are living out biblical end time prophecy. Third, I challenge you to do something nice for someone who is not like you. And to think, all of this came about because I got upset about a shopping experience. Yes, I am laughing too. How do you think we can bring change in the name of the Lord? How do you think that all that I am saying is useless? Let me know. As always, thank you for stopping by.
